Our Offer

The AI Hub aims to support countries in responsibly adopting AI technologies for enhanced inclusive, efficient and effective social protection systems, while focusing on mitigating associated risks. The AI Hub works within four action areas and pursues its mission through (i) creating and sharing knowledge products with and through a sector-wide global expert network, (ii) advising social protection institutions in designing, implementing and governing responsible AI systems and strategies, (iii) developing AI DPGs in SP (Digital Public Goods) as well as standards and guidelines, (iv) conducting capacity building around AI and data literacy for the SP context through the creation of learning materials and online trainings targeting social protection practitioners.

Under the Digital Convergence Initiative (DCI) structure, the AI Hub supports countries in navigating the rapidly evolving landscape of AI while promoting the principles of responsible, innovative and sovereign AI adoption.

Your tasks

As an intern, you will support the team across knowledge development, project coordination, partner engagement, and communication activities. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting project management across the AI Hub's workstreams, including planning, coordination, documentation, and follow-up on deadlines and decisions
  • Helping organise the AI Hub Clinic Series, including preparing sessions, coordinating with speakers and partners, handling registrations, and following up with recordings, tools and outputs
  • Supporting the AI Hub's country support process, for example by documenting incoming requests, preparing scoping materials, tracking ongoing engagements and capturing lessons learned
  • Assisting in coordination with the AI Hub's implementing partners and international organisations, including preparing meetings, workshops and exchanges
  • Supporting the development and dissemination of knowledge products such as studies, briefs, toolkits and blogs on AI in social protection, including editing, structuring content and coordinating with authors and experts
  • Supporting the communication activities of the DCI and the AI Hub, such as the website, newsletter and social media
  • Providing general organisational and administrative support to the team as needed

Your Profile

  • Currently enrolled student in digital technology/management, digital media/communications, international development, social sciences, or a related field
  • Strong interest in knowledge creation, research, and analytical writing
  • Very good writing and editing skills, with the ability to structure complex topics clearly and concisely
  • Interest in or first exposure to AI, digital transformation, data, or social protection is an advantage
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple tasks in parallel
  • High level of technical competency, familiarity with WordPress-based websites is an advantage
  • Proficiency in MS Office (experience with collaborative tools or basic design tools like Canva is a plus)
  • Excellent English skills (written and spoken); knowledge of German, French, or Spanish is an asset
