Our Offer

The Public Relations and Communications unit handles public visibility, project and cluster topic areas, provides internal and external communication services for GIZ in Cambodia. Our team designs communication strategies, public campaigns, and events for both internal and external needs. Clear communication is vital to bring together companies, governments, and civil society. The international intern will directly support our daily communication work by creating content, getting involved in webinar and knowledge-sharing productions (podcasts/video productions), and help organize major GIZ events. This role is designed to give the intern practical experience in communications strategy, content creation and management, communication unit functions while boosting our unit's overall outreach.

Your tasks

  • Organize webinars, online panels, and virtual events
  • Draft invitations, panel descriptions, press updates, and communication materials for partners.
  • Manage social media content plans, marketing campaigns
  • Monitor media coverage, track attendee registration, and maintain stakeholder contact lists.
  • Write clear meeting summaries, post-event wrap-ups, and short research briefings.
  • Put together regular informational newsletters for partners about upcoming regulations and events.
  • help co-draft short speeches for events.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and logistics for team meetings and networking events.

Your Profile

  • University degree or ongoing studies in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, International Relations, Communications, or Public Policy.
  • Experience supporting coordination of workshops, webinars, or public events.
  • Strong organizational skills and the capacity to handle multiple small projects or communication tasks simultaneously. Multi-tasking and prioritization skills are important.
  • Familiarity with creating digital content, managing professional social media channels, or drafting informational newsletters.
  • A strong interest in communication, sustainable development or human rights topics.
  • Reliable research skills with the ability to summarize complex information into clear, user-friendly updates.
  • Full professional proficiency in English; strong communication skills in another major international language is an asset.
  • A respectful and empathetic approach to collaboration, strong commitment to working sensitivity within diverse, multicultural teams and with local partners.
