The Global Gateway Investment Climate Reform (GG ICR) Facility (www.icr-facility.eu) partners with governments, public agencies and private sector representative bodies in INTPA partner countries. Together, we co-design tailored technical assistance to create the right conditions for sustainable and inclusive investments under Global Gateway priorities.

We are looking for a curious, dynamic team player with an eye for detail to support our communication and monitoring efforts. You will be working with the communication and visibility (C&V) and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) experts to collect and analyse data, translate findings into engaging stories and visuals, support communication with stakeholders, and contribute to project learning. This role is ideal for someone interested in the intersection of data and storytelling in international cooperation.

Your tasks

During your internship you'll have the following tasks:

  • Supporting the communication and visibility activities of the GG ICR Facility, particularly on social media (LinkedIn) and on the website 
  • Supporting the creation and design of compelling information and communication materials (e.g. videos, publications, newsletters, flyers, etc.) 
  • Supporting specific M&E activities of the GG ICR Facility, including the compilation, analysis, interpretation and reporting of results
  • Supporting the design, development, and implementation of results-based monitoring 
  • Assisting in the preparation of overviews and presentations related to M&E.
  • Research and preparation of notes and recommendations on topics related to the Global Gateway Strategy and its links to Business Environment Reform and Investment Climate, as well as existing GIZ projects and activities around INTPA partner countries.
  • Preparation, implementation and documentation of (online) meetings and workshops. 
  • Supporting other day-to-day project’s activities as needed.

Your Profile

  • You are about to finish your studies of economics, political or social sciences, ideally with a focus on development policy, or have completed them within the last six months.
  • You have already dealt with concepts and strategies for sustainable and inclusive economic development, at best even with one of the core themes of the Facility such as the Global Gateway, private sector development, infrastructure, women’s economic empowerment, green economy etc. 
  • Strong communication skills with capabilities to engage external stakeholders.  Ability to handle the accompanying administrative workload for organising and coordinating different events (in person as well as virtual).
  • You have already gained initial practical experience in the field of M&E. For example, in setting up or working with databases, or in data processing and visualisation. 
  • You have an affinity to social media, enjoy creative visual implementation and are interested in communicating results to various stakeholder groups.
  • In addition to your professional expertise, your strengths lie in your creativity, analytical thinking, and organisational skills as well as in your high degree of flexibility and ability to work in a team
  • Very good office skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).
  • Fluency in English. German would be a particular asset. Spanish or French would be a valuable asset.
  • You already have initial experience in the field of development cooperation (internships and/or voluntary work) and/or in developing and emerging countries.
