Job description

GET.transform is a technical assistance programme supporting public sector partners in advancing their energy sector transformations. As an internationally recognised hub of expertise, the programme delivers on key areas of the energy transition: energy planning, on- and off-grid regulation and markets, and renewable energy grid integration. With a particular focus on Africa and Latin America, GET.transform enables partner countries and regions to develop conducive framework conditions for large-scale clean energy deployment. GET.transform is part of the European multi-donor platform Global Energy Transformation Programme (GET.pro), and supported by the European Union, Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden and Austria. www.get-transform.eu.
The intern will be based in Bonn and work directly with the team leader, the communications manager as well as a dynamic team spread across Belgium, Chile, Central America, Germany, Eswatini, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, Peru and Uganda to support the digital infrastructure and project management activities of GET.transform.

Your tasks

During the internship you will carry out the following tasks: 

  • Facilitate the advancement of a state-of-the-art digital project management system for GET.transform by implementing optimized process flows in the dynamic IT landscape of an international cooperation project
  • Assist in gathering software requirements and designing the database
  • Contribute to setting up a project management software environment, such as MS Planner or others, to streamline workflows within the team
  • Engage in research and analysis within specific focus areas
  • Foster communication and collaboration by liaising with service providers on internal and external software procedures
  • Support the management and sharing of knowledge through tasks like convening internal meetings and updating project status overviews
  • Maintain and enhance work systems, including SharePoint pages, project management tools, Power BI etc.
  • Unleash your creativity in identifying measures for efficiency gains, presenting key facts and data, leveraging tools like Power BI and/or Automate

Your profile

  • Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in math, IT, or MINT subjects, or a related field
  • Possess experience in Low Code IT platforms and familiarity with REST APIs
  • Showcase excellent communication skills, particularly in writing
  • Embrace independent work, creativity, and a proactive attitude
  • Appreciate the importance of processes and exhibit strong communication skills for effective collaboration
  • Display a penchant for creativity and an independent work style, diving deep into processes to uncover their essence
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the pivotal role of energy in sustainable development and climate change mitigation
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German, French, or Spanish is a plus
