Job description

The digitalization of the economy requires an internationally coordinated regulatory framework. To this end, both the EU and the German government (Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport) maintain digital dialogues with key economic partners—such as India. The EU-India Digital Dialogue focuses on topics such as Internet governance, data sovereignty and protection, emerging technologies, and the promotion of start-ups.
The project team coordinates between the Indian government and the EU, provides advisory support on current digital policy developments, facilitates the participation of businesses and industry associations in the dialogue, and promotes cooperation across various sectors and topics.

As part of your internship, you will support the team in India from Germany. You can look forward to working with a highly international team with diverse thematic and cultural perspectives. The team values collaborative work processes and thrives on cross-border cooperation across continents.

Your tasks

  • Supporting project activities, including organizing (virtual) expert workshops, high-level delegation visits, and ministerial coordination meetings
  • Monitoring political and economic developments in the fields of digitalization and emerging technology trends
  • Conducting research and preparing briefings, articles, and other documents
  • Assisting with communications and the publication of expert reports
  • Contributing to organizational development using agile and innovative methods

Your profile

  • You have recently completed or are about to complete your studies in economics, political science, social sYou enjoy strategically engaging with digital and geopolitical issues and have a connection to or a strong interest in India
  • You have excellent analytical skills, enabling you to quickly grasp new topics and understand economic and digital trends
  • Your German language skills (written and spoken) are excellent, and you have very good English skills, demonstrated through an international or English-language study program or a recognized language certification
  • You possess diplomatic sensitivity, strong social and intercultural competence, and excellent teamwork skills
