Job description

GET.transform is a European multi-donor program with the aim to support developing and emerging countries worldwide in advancing their energy and power sector transformations. GET.transform offers comprehensive advisory services to governments, regulatory bodies, and electric utilities on the topics of long-term energy planning, renewable energy grid integration, as well as energy policy, regulation and market development. GET.transform operates in Africa and Latin America. Further information: www.get-transform.eu

Your tasks

You will carry out the following tasks during the internship: 

  • Assist the Advisory Service Team on projects and initiatives in long-term energy planning, renewable energy grid integration, energy policy, regulation, and markets with a focus on on-grid and off-grid energy regulation and market development
  • Conduct research and data analysis related to renewable energy policies, regulations, and market trends to support project objectives
  • Help to identify policy and regulatory support needs in GET.transform country advisors, governments, regulatory bodies, and electric utilities and develop targeted advisory approaches addressing them
  • Support in refining and implementing GET.transform strategy for Policy Catalyst and Gender mainstreaming
  • Support quality control efforts by reviewing and verifying the accuracy and completeness of project documents, reports, and presentations; assist with proofreading and quality-checking materials to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to GET.transform’s standards
  • Co-curate tendering and contract processes, and support improvements to streamline administrative workflows and contract delivery
  • Aid in product standardization, knowledge management, and the preparation of project reports, presentations, and other communication materials

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Economics, Political Science, Engineering or Environmental Science or any related discipline with a focus on sustainable energy and or electricity access; prior working experience in lieu of academic experience on aforementioned topics will be considered
  • Previous experience in working or volunteering in the development cooperation setting is preferred
  • Proficiency in English is required, proficiency in Spanish and Portuguese is considered an asset
